Construction Resumes
With the current resumption of Construction activity across Scotland, it’s great to see construction progressing ready for staged inspection, our clients love to see the build process, and we are only too happy to oblige. As the nation takes time to adapt to the changing industry as a whole in terms of post Covid measures, we reflect on the local confidence of our already dynamic industry.
We look forward to positive sustained building, not quite completely recovered, and as a result of the losses many businesses have suffered over the first 1/2 of 2020, from suppliers and manufacturer’s to construction companies, with overheads and lack of turnover severely affecting the ability to turn profit, it is likely that at some point in the near future, manufacturers, suppliers, distributers and construction companies alike will aim to recoup the losses, which is likely to be in the form of increased costs passed on to the end user, the consumer.
Therefore although encouraging signs are there, although we all know there is a lot of work to do to get back to pre-covid levels of confidence in economic terms, there are significant numbers of new property in development, it is clear that the market is buoyant with consumers testing the water, making new purchases, and moving forward with a little understandable trepidation, with some incentives being announced by Government, the time really is Now to buy new property, to get in before incentives dry up, and before prices inevitably increase.
